Overview
Serenely set on the Instagram-worthy beaches of Banderas Bay and surrounded by the lush Mexican jungle, the all-inclusive Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa offers a variety of eats, drinks and entertainment for couples, families and friends in need of a beach escape.
A scenic 45-minute drive northwest of Puerto Vallarta, the resort is jam-packed with diversions for kids and adults alike. Daytime options include archery, tennis, sunbathing on the private beach or beside one of the two outdoor pools (plus a bonus kids pool), strolling through the botanical gardens, or surfing, snorkeling and kayaking in the ocean. A small on-site zoo with monkeys and crocodiles provides fun for travelers of all ages. Evenings are just as lively, with nightly shows in the on-site theater and flowing (free) drinks at the bars.
For those trying to reach Nirvana, the resort's Zentropia spa supplies the ideal oasis. The $10 per person entry fee covers access to hot tubs, steam baths, a pool and sauna. Massages, facials and body treatments are all available at an additional cost.
Guests of the resort have complimentary access to eat and drink to their hearts’ delight at all restaurants and bars in the resort. Choices include four a la carte dinner restaurants, two buffets serving up three meals per day and eight bars.
All guest rooms feature bathrooms with a large glass-door shower and a hydro-massage bathtub, plus a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a balcony or terrace in the bedroom. Having undergone a renovation in 2011, guest rooms are now “appealing, fresh and modern,” according to Oyster.
Travelzoo Tip: Guest rooms are located in three-story buildings without elevators; members may wish to request a room on one of the lower floors as necessary.
