Banff High Country Inn
Why We Love This Hotel
- Family-run lodge close to Banff's shopping and restaurants
- The indoor pool, hot tub and cedar sauna can be enjoyed after hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter
- Free parking and Wi-Fi
Just outside the main area of Banff, shops and restaurants are just 10 minutes away from the lodge on foot. Banff National Park is 20-minute drive from the hotel, while the ski slopes at Mount Norquay are a little over 10 minutes away.
This family-run inn is decorated like a classic mountain lodge in the lobby and exterior, but guest rooms are more modern. The hot tub and cedar sauna are adjacent to a light-flooded glass atrium housing the indoor heated pool. The on-site restaurant, Ticino, is open for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant serves up Swiss-Italian dishes like fondue.
Guest rooms all have minifridges and free Wi-Fi, and most of them have balconies. Make sure to ask about a room with a view, as some TripAdvisor reviewers note the view of the parking lot isn't as picturesque.
