Le Bristol Hôtel is in a pretty 19th-century building in the heart of Reims, a 5-minute walk from the main railway station and less than 10 minutes from the city's famous Gothic cathedral, Notre-Dame.
Other Reims highlights include the Palais du Tau, an opulent former archbishop's residence and UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Musée des Beaux-Arts gallery, home to works by Monet and Gauguin. The city also makes a great base for exploring the Champagne houses along the Montagne de Reims Champagne Route.
The laid-back café bar features velvet booths and serves daily breakfast and lunch. There's a large outdoor terrace for dining in summer and it's a popular spot for drinks throughout the day.
The hotel's 40 rooms are simply decorated and feature flat-screen TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have a balcony with views of the city.
