The upscale Aloft Sarasota is just two blocks from Bayfront Park and less than 20 minutes by car from Ed Smith Stadium and Historic Spanish Point. Opened in early 2016, the contemporary property is designed for guests to loiter in the common spaces instead of feeling rushed to their rooms. The lobby looks more like a trendy lounge showcasing artwork from a local college and featuring a bar and outdoor patio. To convenience guests, the Re:charge gym and Re:fuel by Aloft for healthy snacks and light meals are open 24/7. The property also features a rooftop pool with a hot tub and fire pit.
Rooms sleep up to four with the choice of one king or two queen beds and the option to upgrade to a room looking out at the pool. Modern accommodations come equipped with keyless entry, allowing guests to unlock their doors with smartphones, as well as free Wi-Fi, mini refrigerators, ergonomic work stations and huge walk-in showers. The pet-friendly hotel welcomes four-legged family members with dog beds, bowls, treats and toys.
For cocktails and live music by local artists, plus small plates and pizza, guests can head to the W XYZ Bar downstairs. Re:mix Lounge pairs drink specials with free Wi-Fi and pool tables, attracting crowds each evening.
