The hotel is in a great location, the staff were really attentive and helpful. The rooms were comfy and clean, and the dinner and breakfast were really good. The hotel is very dated in its decor and general atmosphere, it’s not a negative and for us to use a a nice base for the area was fine.

The accommodation was in a chalet which gave more room than a regular hotel room. There were armchairs so that after a day walking it was very comfortable to sit and watch the bird life in the garden

Our room was in the old part of the hotel and was a bit tired. The radiators only heated half way. Bar facilities poor, no draught beer and drinks very expensive. Having said that we had a lovely time.

It appears people who book on the Travelzoo offer are given the old fashioned rooms that are in need of upgrade in decor and furnishings however it was very clean and comfortable
