In a revamped 1940s building on Madrid's bustling Gran Via, Hotel Vincci Via 66 is a striking property with theatrical rooms and a rooftop bar overlooking the city centre.
Gran Via is Madrid's main thoroughfare and is lined with upmarket shops, boutiques, theatres and hotels. The hotel is within walking distance of top sights including Plaza de España, Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace, and is a 2-minute walk from the Santo Domingo Metro station for connections to the Paseo del Prado and Retiro Park.
Many of the building's original features remain including stained-glass windows, wrought-iron details and an impressive marble staircase. Drinks are served day and night at the 10th-floor rooftop bar, which features a large terrace dotted with sofas and daybeds. Breakfast and afternoon tea are available daily and while there's no restaurant on site, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. After a day exploring the sights, hit the Nammu Corner to make use of the wellness facilities including a hammam, a sauna and an ice fountain; massages and spa treatments are also available.
The rooms feature bold graphic-print wallpaper, red velvet curtains and black-and-white theatrical photographs. Sleek black tiled walls and glossy white and chrome fixtures keep things modern in the bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning, pillow menus and free Wi-Fi.
