Disappointed in restaurant. Food poor quality for cost and although waiting staff were very pleasant they had little experience and there appeared to be no manager on duty.

Beautiful setting in lovely gardens. Very comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff. It is only a short drive to the M1 so really handy should you be travelling.

Very helpful staff who could not have been more friendly and helpful. It is a popular wedding venue and despite there being 3 weddings being conducted, the staff were very attentive to us. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Traditional hotel conveniently located.

We were told on arrival that the restaurant was fully booked (a Wednesday) and although we had the same menu in the bar, it was disappointing. Resident guests should automatically be given a reservation or asked if they require one when booking.

Late check out wasn’t specified. Promised use of the pool etc was a huge draw when booking however it was closed for refurbishment. No one mentioned this, until we asked to access it in the morning, already prepped for swimming. A note in reception explaining it’s closed and not including it in the offer would make sense. Service at dinner was very slow as well, although all the staff were friendly.
