Vincci La Rabida Hotel
Why We Love This Hotel
- Within easy reach of the main attractions of Seville’s Old Town
- Close to plenty of restaurants, bars & flamenco venues
- The rooftop restaurant offers Sevillan dishes with a modern twist
- Housed in a former 18th-century palacio
Perched on the edge of Seville’s Old Town, the comfortable 4-star Vincci La Rabida is within easy walking distance of around 1,000 years of history and culture, as well as plenty of restaurants, tapas joints and flamenco bars.
There are more central hotels than this, but you’re still within easy reach of the city’s main sights-- the Alcázar fortress-palace, all sweeping Moorish architecture and intricate décor, is just eight minutes’ walk away. The cathedral, a focus for Semana Santa parades and worth a look at any time of year, is even closer. The city’s cultural attractions, from the Museo del Baile Flamenco to the futuristic Metropol Parasol, are mostly within 15 minutes’ walk of the hotel.
There’s no shortage of places to eat in Andalucia’s largest city, but the hotel holds its own with the rooftop El Mirador -- an outdoor bar area is open in summer -- which offers Sevillan dishes with a modern twist, and a tapas bar (La Rabida).
Rooms are decorated in a mix of Mediterranean and Moorish styles, which sounds vague but blends in surprisingly well with the architecture of the building (an 18th-century palacio). All rooms offer free Wi-Fi (it can be patchy -- you can pay extra for a faster service) as well as satellite TVs and a mini-bar. Upgrade to a Suite for a separate living area and a balcony with views over the cathedral.
