The Hotel Magenta 38 is just over a 5-minute walk from Paris's trendy Canal Saint-Martin -- which you may recognise from the film "Amelie". This is an area "infused with a certain youthful energy that's hard to come by in other areas of the city", according to Frommer's.
The hotel is in Paris's 10th Arrondissement, a bohemian and relatively tourist-free area, popular for its vibey bars and bistros. Jacques Bonsergent Metro station is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel -- so the famous sights of the city are easily accessible. The Louvre, home to the "Mona Lisa", among many other pieces, is a 20-minute Metro ride away. Notre-Dame de Paris, which has "few peers" in "beauty and architectural harmony" (Fodor's) is also 20 minutes away.
Recently renovated by renowned French architects Didier and Fabrice Knoll, Hotel Magenta 38 has contemporary décor throughout. A continental breakfast is served from 7-10am in the breakfast room and guests can also enjoy an evening drink on the hotel terrace.
