A luxury, 5-star resort set in Sharks Bay, in the “snorkelling and scuba-diving paradise” of Sharm el Sheikh (Lonely Planet), Sultan Gardens Resort is a popular choice with families and couples alike -- this hotel holds the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice 2014 award in the All-Inclusive category.
Sharm’s underwater scenery is world-renowned, and Sharks Bay is one of the best-known beaches -- divers can expect to see exotic fish swimming among the coral. The hotel boasts 220m of private sandy beaches and is just 10 minutes’ drive from the bazaars and nightlife of Na'ama Bay. Nearby attractions include an 18-hole golf course and the Sharm el Sheikh botanical gardens right across the street.
You may not make it out of the hotel, however -- Sultan Gardens takes its all-inclusive status seriously. There are six restaurants on site -- a varied buffet serving international dishes, Italian, Indian and seafood restaurants, a Cajun steakhouse and a tapas restaurant. There are seven bars, four freshwater pools, a spa and a gym. There’s a Kids’ Club, the staff put on shows in the evening, and The Golden Club Disco is open nightly.
The resort has 520 rooms and sleeping options are flexible -- there are standard rooms, family rooms and suites (which feature upgraded amenities, including a Jacuzzi with Red Sea views). All rooms come with LCD TVs and free WiFi. If you’re travelling in a large group, however, consider a villa, which offers up to 230msq of living space.
