Siesta Key is known for being a laid-back beach town, and the Best Western Plus Siesta Key Gateway fits right into the area’s relaxed vibe. The low-rise hotel is pretty much what you’d expect from a Best Western Plus -- modern and fresh with nicer finishes and amenities than a Best Western without the “Plus.”
Inside, the lobby is nicely appointed with a mix of warm woods and some wicker accents, with soft orange and teal highlights. The rooms continue this color scheme, reminiscent of a local sunset over the clear blue Gulf waters. Beach bums can hightail over to Siesta Key Beach to spend a sunny day to their liking. It’s a just a five-minute ride away on the hotel’s courtesy shuttle, so you don’t have to worry about parking.
Breakfast here is a hot buffet on the house, and guests can eat the rest of their meals at either the poolside grill or the on-site lounge. If you’re feeling more adventurous, there are dozens of restaurants all within a few blocks of the hotel.
Take a 25-minute drive north to the Mote Aquarium, where you can get up close and personal with manatees, sea turtles and sharks.
