The 5-star Hotel de la Paix is set on the edge of Lake Geneva and has views over the harbour and the Jet d'Eau. Built in 1865 and set across six floors, the property features original Italian architecture and contemporary décor.
The boutique hotel is a 5-minute walk to the old town’s small bars, cafés and antique shops that lie in its winding cobbled streets, narrow passages and hidden courtyards. It’s an 11-minute stroll to the Cathedral of St Pierre, which has views across the city.
Facilities include the Michelin-starred Vertig'O, which serves French cuisine, and The Nobel bar with its Baroque-inspired interiors, selection of light appetisers and impressive selection of cocktails, champagnes and fine vintage wines. There’s also a fitness room with weights and cardio equipment, plus views of Square du Mont Blanc.
All rooms are individually designed with views of Lake Geneva or the Mont-Blanc square, plus free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a Nespresso machine. Upgrade to a larger Deluxe Rooms or a Suite, which has a separate living and sleeping area, plus a marble bathroom. The 110 metre squared Mont-Blanc Suite features private balconies facing Geneva’s snow-capped mountains.
