Set in an asymmetric, industrial-chic brick building, this upscale hotel has a central location near Waterloo Tube and train stations (a 7-minute walk), which makes zipping around London easy. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions within walking distance -- the Southbank Centre, the National Theatre and the London Eye are all within a 16-minute stroll from the hotel.
The hotel has received a number of industry awards and accolades -- including TripAdvisor's 2014 and 2013 Certificate of Excellence, Grand Hotel Turismo's Best Hotel Chain 2014, and Lukas Latin Awards' Spanish Restaurant of the Year 2014. The uniquely designed building also won a Royal Institute of British Architects' National Architecture Award in 2011.
H10 attracts a savvy, cosmopolitan crowd, thanks to its trendy décor and cosmopolitan Circus Lounge, which serves cocktails and light lunches, and its destination eaterie, the Three O Two Restaurant, which serves modern Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, and includes a terrace for al fresco dining. There is also the stylish rooftop Waterloo Bar with views of the London Eye. The on-site spa includes a Despacio Beauty Centre, a small gym and a funky treatment room with a hydromassage shower and sauna -- the perfect pick-me-up before hitting the nearby riverside bars.
Most of the 177 chic rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows offering cityscape views and plenty of natural light. Funky wallpaper and arty headboards give each room an individual feel, while mod cons include iPod docking stations, free Wi-Fi, mini bars and flat-screen TVs with cable channels. Upper-grade rooms also have Nespresso machines.
