Grand Hotel Ritz is in the Parioli district in the northern part of Rome, which Frommer's calls the city's "most elegant residential section". Bordered by the green spaces of the Villa Borghese to the south and the Villa Glori and Villa Ada to the north, the Parioli district is "an area for connoisseurs... a setting for some of the city's finest restaurants, hotels, and public parks".
The hotel runs a shuttle service to and from Piazza di Spagna, at the bottom of the Spanish Steps, and is also a minutes' walk from Euclide Metro station, making it convenient for exploring the city.
There is a rooftop bar and restaurant with a terrace for al fresco dining, as well as a spa with a gym, a Turkish bath, a sauna, and a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The spa offers massages, facials and body treatments at a supplement.
Rooms are spacious, with soundproofed windows and bathrooms decorated in either marble or Vietri ceramics. Upper floors have views of the square below. Wi-Fi is free.
