It's always a balmy 84 degrees at the Great Wolf Lodge's indoor water park, where aquatic fun for all ages includes thrilling water slides, a lazy river, water-soaked tree house, and Cub Paw Pool for the littlest visitors. The water park is exclusively reserved for guests, and all stays include daily passes (varies by room type; see "Policies & Fees").

Other activities fit everyone from toddlers to teens: there's a ropes course, bowling alley, miniature golf, "4-D" movie theater, and a story time with costumed characters. Grown-ups can retreat to a fitness center while kids get treated at an ice cream-themed spa.

Picky palates have diverse dining options, ranging from steak and seafood dinners to poolside burgers from the wood-fired grill. Order a take-out pizza for a private family meal in the room or satisfy sugar cravings with freshly baked pastries, ice cream and homemade fudge from the sweets shop.

Spacious suites sleep 4-10 people, some with separate living areas, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Theme rooms offer “tented” bunk beds, in-suite caves or miniature log cabins for children.

I don't know what I expected but I was disappointed.

Unfortunately, many things disappointed me. We were never emailed when our room was ready so we had to stand in line for 30 minutes to find out. We were told they would email us so we would not have to wait in line again. The room did not have a sheet on either bed just comforter and mattress pad. There were not enough tubes to ride the slides. If people came off the slide they would carry their tubes up with them again. There were not enough tubes for the lazy river so people were just walking around in it. The life guards closed down one pool to scoop what appeared to be feces out but would not tell anyone why. It is very expensive to go there and then to have to purchase all the extra things was a bit much. One day on the way back to the room a housekeeper was crying There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night, which the staff was great about helping everyone out, but we were never told until the next day that we were ok, what it was, etc. Housekeeper crying and yell

The water park!
Other Comments
The water park area was great, but the check-in process was not. We had to wait 2 hours to get into our reserved room, during which time they switched us to another room to supposedly speed up the process BUT did not switch room keys to the new room so most of our party could not access the room at all. Our son, after 3 trips to the registration desk, sent them an email. However, when Customer Service responded, they did so by leaving a message at our HOME phone number (we, however, were at the lodge) instead of the cell # our son had included in his email.
