Overview
The Hyatt Regency Orange County is in a prime spot for blending business with pleasure. The location -- six minutes from the Anaheim Convention Center and less than 15 minutes from Disneyland -- makes it a favorite with both professionals and leisure travelers for its proximity to popular SoCal spots. Guests in town for meetings will often bring along the kids and turn their stay into a family vacation. Angel Stadium is 10-minutes by car, and Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Knottsberry farm are also within a 35-minute drive.
Inside the massive hotel (it has over 650 rooms) there’s a soaring 17-story glass atrium that floods the lobby with natural light, along with two-story palm trees and other tropical plant. It’s modern and bright in a corporate meets Southern California way. Standard rooms are decorated in neutral colors, and come with large work desks and complimentary Wi-Fi. Family suites offer separate bedroom and bunk beds for the kids. Request an outer north facing room and watch the Disney fireworks light up the sky during their nightly show spectacular.
There’s a shuttle to the theme parks (fees apply) and a desk on-site for easy access to purchase Disney tickets. After the parks, head up to the rooftop where the sport complex houses a 24-hour fitness center, tennis courts, basketball courts, the South Tower Pool, and fire pits. On the ground floor, there’s a second pool and whirlpool, plus TusCA restaurant which serves oven-baked pizza and pastas, and offers a kids eat free menu. There’s also the OC Brewhouse, which has a full selection of bar foods and local beers on tap.
