About the itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Malaysia! Upon arrival, you'll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: This morning's Kuala Lumpur city tour includes visiting the Petronas Skybridge for panoramic views, Independence Square, and landmarks like the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Explore the historic Jamek Mosque, vibrant Chinatown, and its temples, then enjoy lunch before a free afternoon. In the evening, join a welcome dinner to sample Malaysian cuisine and meet fellow travellers.

Day 3: After breakfast, visit Batu Caves to ascend the 272 rainbow steps to the sacred temple cave and explore the museum cave with Hindu deity images and murals. Next, tour the Royal Selangor Pewter factory, learn about pewter production, and craft your own pewter dish at the School of Hard Knocks Workshop before enjoying lunch and a free afternoon.

Day 4: Today, travel to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in Malay, Chinese, British, and Portuguese influences. Explore historic sites like Bukit Cina, Dutch Square, Porta De Santiago, A'Famosa, St. Paul's Church, and Chen Hoon Teng Temple, then visit the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum and stroll along Jonker Street before checking into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 5: Immerse yourself in traditional Melaka at Kampung Cantik village, exploring local life and learning about rubber and oil palm trees, as well as the diverse flora, including curry leaves, pandan, kaffir lime, lemongrass, and breadfruit. Participate in village activities like top spinning and Silat, create your own batik with a local artist, and enjoy an included lunch before returning to your hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6: Check out after breakfast and prepare for a scenic drive to Cameron Highlands, situated 1542 meters above sea level. Along the way, stop briefly at Lata Iskandar waterfall before arriving at your hotel in the highlands for the next couple of nights. Enjoy an included dinner and unwind in the serene countryside.

Day 7: After breakfast, drive to Mount Brinchang, the highest peak in the Cameron Highlands, for a walk through the Mossy Forest, showcasing unique flora. Visit Sungai Palas Boh estate for a tea factory tour (closed Mondays), explore local markets, a butterfly farm, and a cactus garden, and enjoy lunch at The Smokehouse before returning to your hotel.

Day 8: Travel to Ipoh to explore its cultural heritage. Start with a visit to a serene cave temple and continue with the Ipoh Heritage Walk, which includes the grand Ipoh Railway Station and historic Panglima Lane. The evening is free for personal relaxation.

Day 9: After breakfast, travel to Penang, stopping in Kuala Kangsar to admire the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace, and Istana Kenangan from the outside. Visit Orang Utan Island in Bukit Merah to learn about endangered orangutans, then arrive in Penang to check into the Shangri-La Golden Sands at Ferringhi Beach.

Day 10: Explore George Town's UNESCO Heritage Site with a panoramic view from The Top Komtar Tower and a thrilling walk on the Penang Rainbow Skywalk. Then, visit Chowrasta Market, Fort Cornwallis, The Clan Jetties, and Khoo Kong Si, and enjoy a leisurely lunch before returning to your hotel with the rest of the day free.

Day 11: Enjoy a free day to relax and explore Penang Island at your leisure, or opt for an additional tour to enhance your Malaysia experience (at your own expense).

Day 12: Bid farewell to Malaysia with wonderful memories. A transfer will take you to Penang Airport for your flight home.
