The 10-day tour starts in Luang Prabang - located at the confluence of the Mekong and the Nam Khan rivers - highlights include a huge number of impressive wats and temples, the old French town, and the views from Mount Phousi. Across the following days, you'll enjoy a Mekong River cruise, a visit to the Pak Ou Caves and the Lao Buffalo Dairy Farm, an opportunity to have a swim at the breathtaking Kuang Si Falls, and a day at an Elephant sanctuary. The riverside town of Vang Vieng is up next. From here you'll visit the Tham Phu Kham Cave and Blue Lagoon and enjoy a sunset cruise on Nam Song River. The tour ends in Vientiane, described by Frommer's as a "contender for sleepiest capital in the world", where you'll visit the golden Pha That Luang temple and Buddha Park, before flying back to Australia.
