Arrive in the "City of Angels", Bangkok, where you can shop at the flower market, visit the oldest temple in the city or take the chance to see a colourful production of the country's history and culture. After exploring the capital city, travel southwest into the hills to the central plains of Thailand. Stop at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market before arriving into Kanchanaburi, a town surrounded by waterfalls and rivers. Cross the stone bridge made famous by the book and film The Bridge on the River Kwai.
The next stop is Ayutthaya, which boasts a historical park in the centre of town and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Bang Pa-In Palace, which once served as the Royal Summer Palace for the Thai Kings, and explore the ruins and its remaining palaces, monasteries and towers before heading back to Bangkok.
