About the cruise holiday: You'll fly into San Francisco and enjoy a 2-night stay in the city described by Frommer’s as “so exciting and diverse, and so cosmopolitan that you can always find something new to see and do”. Popular attractions include Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz Island, whilst the walk across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge is another highlight.
You’ll embark Holland America Line’s ms Noordam at the Pier 27 cruise terminal for a 23-night cruise to Sydney via Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. Your first ports of call are Hilo and Honolulu of Hawaii, where you’ll have the chance to explore the historic site of Pearl Harbour, the Arizona Memorial and Honolulu city. You'll then cross the International Date Line, stopping at Apia where you can enjoy a taste of the “laid back paradise” (Traveller) for which Samoa is known. Suva, Fiji's vibrant capital city and the “heart of Fiji” (Lonely Planet) is up next, where you can admire the colonial buildings, take a stroll along the esplanade and admire the surrounding jungles and mountains.
Lautoka, known for its towering palm trees, is your final port of call in Fiji before cruising into New Caledonia. Here you’ll visit Lifou -- the largest of the Loyalty Islands, stopover at the aptly named Isle of Pines and explore French-influenced Noumea. You’ll disembark in the impressive surrounds of Sydney Harbour.
