$1699 – Japan Cruise & China Tour w/Balcony & Flights
You're effectively getting a balcony upgrade for free
We love lots of things about this package -- from the fully-escorted tour of China, visiting some of the country's biggest sights, to sailing on the lead ship of the Quantum class of cruise ships. Plus, it comes with return airfares. But mostly, we love that you get all of this for just $1699:
- Return airfares from Sydney or Melbourne
- Seven-night tour of China staying in 4-star hotels
- Five-night cruise on board Quantum of the Seas in a Balcony cabin
- All meals and entertainment on board the cruise, as well as gratuities
- Fly from Brisbane for an extra $199
- Upgrade to a Spa Suite for $149
The price is per person, twin share, based on a 28 May 2018 departure.
Your tour of China will take you to Beijing, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai. Trip highlights include visiting the Forbidden City -- "the best-preserved collection of ancient architecture in China" (Lonely Planet) -- seeing the Great Wall of China, having a journey on the high-speed bullet train, strolling through Lingering Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and taking a boat ride on West Lake. Your cruise will begin in Baoshan where you'll sail to Hiroshima and Kochi, famed for its architecture and nature. For the full itinerary, click here.
Quantum of the Seas is the sister ship to Ovation of the Seas, part of Royal Caribbean's fleet. The ship is "technologically advanced, offering exceptional cabins, entertainment and activities," says Cruise Critic. We love the adults-only Solarium pool, rock climbing wall and the gondola that allows passengers to sail 300 feet above sea level. The ship also has a large selection of speciality restaurants, offering passengers more variety, including Jamie's Italian.
