From Australia, you'll fly to Hangzhou, where you'll begin your guided tour of China. Kick off the tour with a small boat ride on the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Site of West Lake, before visiting a tea house at Meijiawu Tea Village. Next up visit Li Lake Park and view Taihu Lake, and after that you'll journey to The Lingering Garden, which is famed for its intricate and beautiful flora. While you're in Shanghai you'll go the museum and learn about traditional Chinese medicine. Gourmet Traveller recommends trying xiao long bao -- a traditional Shanghai dumpling. You'll then board China Goddess 2 for a four-night cruise down the Yangtze. Marvel at the beauty of the Three Gorges Dam and relax on your balcony, taking in the scenery.
