One of the greatest legacies we can leave our children is happy memories, and what better than with a family holiday! With the worldwide trend in extended family travel, and only a few destination holidays that appeal to three or more generations of family travellers, the LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort in southern Malaysia’s exotic Johor Bahru is a perfect destination for kids of all ages. The first of its kind in Asia, the resort is the ultimate destination for families looking to build memories that last forever.

First Stop: Theme Park Extraordinaire

The LEGOLAND Theme Park boasts unforgettable rides, sights, shows and attractions - delivering a fully immersive experience, with 3D, 4D and even virtual reality thrills, as well as interactive shows, activities and hands-on rides. If you’re a LEGO fan, you’ll love that the park boasts more than 15,000 LEGO models made from over 60 million LEGO bricks. Explore eight exciting themed areas where guests can do everything from take part in a medieval joust from the saddle of a LEGO horse, use laser guns to battle evil mummies, or learn to drive in a LEGO car, boat or plane. Of course, no trip would be complete without a ride on the world’s first LEGO virtual reality rollercoaster, The Great LEGO Race, combining rollercoaster thrills with virtual reality technology.

Miniland Magic

A centrepiece of every LEGOLAND Theme Park, this Miniland is the largest ever built for a new resort, turning children into giants as it pays tribute to Asia’s iconic countries, cities and landmarks through over 30 million blocks. Many of the models are animated, and with the touch of a button, visitors can bring some of Asia's most quintessential national landmarks to life.

4D Fun

The new LEGO City 4D Movie – Officer in Pursuit is packed with engaging 4D effects, transporting you into the LEGO City Universe while LEGO NINJAGO™ The Ride is a fully immersive 4D ride with unique hand gesture technology allowing guests to throw virtual projectiles as they become their favourite characters to defeat enemies. For LEGO NINJAGO fans, the park also features a live show in a traditional Japanese puppet setting with characters from the hit series standing at 1.2 metres.

If you’re itching to get building, look no further than the Build and Test Centre, with thousands of LEGO blocks at your disposal and an earthquake table to test your buildings. Budding robot designers can take part in a LEGO Mindstorms workshop and build the future while the LEGO Academy helps model builders of all ages turn designs into reality.

Second Stop: Water Park

If the kids (and you) are ready for something else, cool off at LEGOLAND Water Park. With over 20 slides, 70 LEGO models, two restaurants, a retail store and more, it is the largest of its kind in the world. The Build-A-Raft river allows you to customise your own raft with soft LEGO bricks to float down the lazy river. For those family members looking for a sideline attraction, why not consider renting a Private Cabana in a shaded area with complimentary towels, drinks - and DUPLO blocks.

Third Stop: Explore an Amazing Underwater World at SEA LIFE Malaysia

SEA LIFE Malaysia is the newest addition to the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, offering an intimate and educational experience beneath the waves. With over 13,000 creatures from 120 species, you can explore 11 habitat zones, each featuring interactive elements for children and adults alike to learn about Malaysia’s unique marine life. Among the diverse habitat zones are Shoaling Ring, Malaysian Rainforest, Seahorses, Stingray Bay, Coral Reef, Jellies and Ocean View, with local themes such as the Wanli shipwreck alongside LEGO elements.

There’s nothing quite like learning together. Combining education with fun, guests can walk amongst hundreds of sea creatures including sharks and rays in the Ocean Tunnel, the park’s largest tank, or get up-close and hands-on, learning about the natural habitat of the rockpools with numerous interactive tutorials. Behind-the-scenes tours also allow visitors the opportunity to learn about the animals’ healthcare and food preparation.
