"We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Stable 2. The room was beautiful, and spacious, with everything we needed. The location is amazing with a pub next door & a quality fish and chip shop 2 mins walk away. Sennen Cove is just a 20 min walk & Lands End is a short drive away although that too is within walking distance. We will definitely go back."

Overview

The Saddle and Stablerooms are self-catering studios and apartments at the First & Last Inn, on the Penwith Heritage Coast, in Cornwall.

Sennen Cove and Sennen beach are both around five minutes' drive or around 30 minutes' walk away along the South West Coast Path. Enys Dodnan Arch -- a rock formation similar to Durdle Door -- is five minutes' drive from the property.

Land's End, the most westerly point of the United Kingdom, is around five minutes' drive away as well. The pretty village of Porthcurno, home to "arguably the county's most beautiful bay" (The Daily Telegraph), with its pristine white-sand beaches and rugged cliffs, is around 10 minutes' drive away.

The First & Last Inn is a country pub located next door to the accommodation and is well-known as a headquarters for smugglers in the 1600s. It low, beamed-ceilings, log fires and serves food.

The stableroom studios have 6-foot super-king-sized beds, kitchenettes and ensuite bathrooms.

Wi-Fi is free and guests get tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival.

Potentially great but attention to detail is appalling. Seems to not read approx 20 comments in visitors book since opening. Cornish Tourism & Travelzoo all informed 5 days ago no response to date! Not impressed

Beautifully furnished apartment (except no soap!!). So close to a lot of lovely Cornish sites. No staff seen - key provided via a key safe on outside wall.

Great stay. The only issue with it was that we assumed the kitchenette meant we could cook there. The reality was that there was only a microwave and toaster. We had bought quite a bit of food that subsequently went to waste, and the local pub and local fish and chip shop were closed the whole duration of our stay, so we had to travel out of area for cooked food. It didn't ruin our stay and we still had a nice time, but some clarity regarding the kitchenette facilities would have been useful

Found the room to be comfortable, decor, furnishings of a good standard. Our studio whilst comfy was not big enough to have chairs, and didn't have a dvd player. Both items mentioned on the official website. We did take dvds with us so were disappointed. When we booked we were unaware that the First and Last pub next door would be closed - our prime reason in choosing this accommodation was the proximity of the pub, as we weren't intending to cook! Cooking facilities very basic in the studio and luckily we were aware of this. We may return as we enjoyed the area, but hopefully when the pub is open!

Our ground floor room - Saddleroom 3 - was clean, tidy, spacious & wheelchair friendly with a wet room style ensuite with both fixed "waterfall" & an adjustable flexi-hose shower. The First & Last Inn, a pub with restaurant, is an immediately adjacent amenity.

10 minutes walk from Costcutter convenience store and an excellent eat-in/takeaway "chippy". Good base for short walks down to Sennen Cove, Sennen Beach & Gwynver Beach as well as short or longer walks along the Coastal Path.

The hotel had the incorrect dates, lied about our allocated accommodation and downgraded us. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and the wifi didn't work.
