Why We Love This Deal

We've negotiated savings up to 40% — that's about $116 per night — including free parking at this member-favorite hotel in the Old City through June. So what will $116 get you in Philly? Well, you could make four trips to the city's famous Museum of Art, visit the Liberty Bell 20 times or even eat a whopping 25 cheese steaks. Not that you have to, or anything.

Why We Love This Hotel

  • Next door to the U.S. Mint and Benjamin Franklin's burial place; walkable to Betsy Ross's workshop, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
  • It's also walkable to City Hall and local favorite Reading Terminal Market, one of the oldest indoor farmers' markets in the country
  • Guests can sample traditional Spanish tapas without leaving the Old City at Iron Chef Jose Garces' Amada restaurant

Overview

Situated two blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District is a history buff's dream destination: In the neighborhood are the National Constitution Center, the Museum of the American Revolution and the Benjamin Franklin Museum. There's also Elfreth's Alley — Condé Nast Traveler calls it "one of the prettiest streets" in the Old City — plus loads of restaurants, more than 50 art galleries and high-end boutique shopping available on Market Street.

Inside, the hotel blends elements of its storied environs with a distinctly modern design sensibility: The bright, open lobby is offset by royal blue wing-back chairs and artwork inspired from the preamble to the Declaration of Independence. Guest rooms, decorated with oak furnishings and photos of Philly's most famous sites, offer views of downtown. They also have modern necessities like flat-screen TVs and Wolfgang Puck coffee, plus marble countertops in the bathrooms.

The hotel was right in the heart of all the historical sites and was an easy walk to them! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us a map of the area and circled all the sites. The room was spacious and clean! Great value, especially with parking included! I would highly recommend it!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with the service, room, and front desk. However, the bar prices were absolutely outrageously priced- $5.00 for a cup of coffee, $21 for a margarita with Petrone. We left the bar and didn’t drink due to prices.

Clean, modern hotel in the midst of the historic district. Our room overlooked the Christ Church Burial Ground (where Ben Franklin is buried).
