Hello Lisbon Rossio Teatro Nacional Apartments occupies a prime location in Lisbon’s Baixa district, a city-centre neighbourhood known for its grand plazas, wide avenues and neoclassical architecture. Set on a quaint cobbled side street overlooking downtown Lisbon and the Tagus river, these modern self-catering apartments are a few minutes’ walk from 19th-century Teatro Nacional D.Maria II playhouse on Rossio Square, the city’s central hub, and a 5-minute walk from café-lined Praça da Figueira, known for its bustling market. Bairro Alto, with its vibrant nightlife scene, is a 15-minute walk away, whilst the winding narrow streets of picturesque Alfama, one of the city’s oldest areas, is 20 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Two of the Lisbon’s most prominent museums, Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, offering a “star-studded collection of European and Asian paintings” (Lonely Planet), and Museu Calouste Gulbenkian, housing a vast haul of Western and Eastern art, are both around a 15-minute taxi ride away.
The nine 1-bedroom apartments sleep up to four people and are decorated in a minimalist contemporary style with white-painted walls and wooden floors. All include living areas with sofabeds, kitchenettes and dining space, as well as free Wi-Fi and TVs. Higher tariff apartments add bigger kitchens, extended dining tables and balconies overlooking the Moorish Castelo de São Jorge. A communal laundry room is available.
