The Sewanee Inn sits between the University of the South campus and the famed Course at Sewanee, considered one of the country’s most picturesque golf courses, with ponds, streams and the Appalachian Mountains in the backdrop.
The intimate inn has fewer than 50 guest rooms and suites, all outfitted with Keurig coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, wet bars with minifridges and either one king or two queen beds. Morning coffee is served in the lobby and guests have access to the on-site business center and concierge. In addition to the nine-hole golf course, the hotel offers a fitness center, hiking trails and complimentary loaner bicycles.
Southern cuisine is served for three meals a day at eighteen58, while Founder’s Hall specializes in made-to-order breakfast items and a Bloody Mary bar for its weekly Sunday brunch. Guests can enjoy a cocktail from the Shakerage bar and lounge near the fireplace under picturesque vaulted ceilings.
