Why We Love This Hotel
- This boutique hotel has impressive views across Llandudno's bay
- Llandudno Pier -- the longest in Wales -- is five minutes' walk from the hotel
- Little Orme headland is great for hiking, and you can catch a cable car or tram to the summit of Great Orme for panoramic views of the coastline
Hailed as the Queen of the Welsh Resorts for over a century, Llandudno retains its reputation as a picturesque seaside resort, with a smart promenade lined with Victorian townhouses. The Belmont Llandudno is a new hotel housed in a traditional building on North Parade with sweeping views of the bay.
You can walk a couple of minutes to the Great Orme Tramway terminus and catch a ride along the 1.5-kilometre route into Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve (you can also take a cable car). The Great Orme Mines, which date back 4000 years to the Bronze Age, are open daily for visits.
Llandudno Pier -- the longest in Wales -- is five minutes' walk from the hotel. Alternatively, you can head to West Shore beach, a golden-sand bay backed by rugged cliffs, which is a 20-minute walk away on the other side of Llandudno's town centre. It's great for flying kites and picnics.
Conwy, a walled market town that's home to a medieval castle and the smallest house in Britain, is 15 minutes' drive away.
