Hailed as the Queen of the Welsh Resorts for over a century, Llandudno retains its reputation as a picturesque seaside resort, with a smart promenade lined with Victorian townhouses. The Belmont Llandudno is a new hotel housed in a traditional building on North Parade with sweeping views of the bay.

You can walk a couple of minutes to the Great Orme Tramway terminus and catch a ride along the 1.5-kilometre route into Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve (you can also take a cable car). The Great Orme Mines, which date back 4000 years to the Bronze Age, are open daily for visits.

Llandudno Pier -- the longest in Wales -- is five minutes' walk from the hotel. Alternatively, you can head to West Shore beach, a golden-sand bay backed by rugged cliffs, which is a 20-minute walk away on the other side of Llandudno's town centre. It's great for flying kites and picnics.

Conwy, a walled market town that's home to a medieval castle and the smallest house in Britain, is 15 minutes' drive away.

Rooms were very warm. Wasn’t a good start when we were given certain keys for a room on second floor and the keys didn’t work. We were then told our room would be on third floor and we had to struggle to the above floor with our luggage.

Couldnt fault the hotel although it would benefit from air conditioning as the rooms were very warm (the provided fan didn't really take the edge of too well)

Location and outdoor terrace. Pleasant staff and nice breakfast.
Other Comments
Unfortunately the room was very disappointing. The television didn't work and continually lost signal. Shower room extremely small , struggled to get in and out. Shower tray flooded. Toilet room with tiny sink which made washing difficult. No shelf to put toiletries on. Hole in toilet door because the entrance door continually bangs into it. Lighting poor so main lights have to be put on to get ready. Privacy a major problem . Windows opposite are directly looking into the room so curtains have to be closed. Room 110 doesn't appear to have been snagged. We had to change rooms from 109 before getting to this room due to a huge bubble of plaster and hole due to a water leakage. The Belmont is a lovely hotel in a great location. If we return we'd definitely avoid this room.
