JFK Hotel is a modern property in the suburb of Fuorigrotta, near Bagnoli -- the western seaside quarter of Naples. There is a Metro station ten minutes' walk from the hotel -- trains into the centre of Naples run every 15 minutes and take 25 minutes.
There are plenty of museums, castles and churches in the historic centre of Naples -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Naples Cathedral, the National Archaeological Museum and the Royal Palace are all around 30 minutes away from the hotel by Metro.
Lonely Planet praises Naples for its "breathtaking frescoes, sculptures and panoramas" and describes it as one of Italy's "oldest, most artistic and most delicious" cities. It's often referred to as the pizza capital of Italy, so a trip to Naples wouldn't be complete without sampling some of its most famous export -- we recommend heading to one of Spaccanapoli's pizzerias in the Centro Storico (old town), but there is an abundance of local eateries serving up "some of the best food in Italy" (The Guardian).
Mount Vesuvius and the Roman ruins at Pompeii -- "Europe's most compelling archaeological site" (Lonely Planet) -- are both within 30 minutes' drive of the hotel. The ferry to the island of Capri departs hourly from Molo Beverello port and takes 60 minutes.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Naples Zoo and a 25-minute walk from the Pontile nord di Bagnoli (north jetty) -- here you can take a scenic stroll along the 900-metre pier, which has panoramic views of the Gulf of Pozzuoli.
Breakfast is served in the hotel's breakfast room or in your bedroom (on request). Comfort Rooms are air conditioned and feature porcelain-tile flooring. Wi-Fi is free.
