Providing a quiet base from which to explore Paris’s sights and attractions, the hip Hotel Eden is in the low-key 15th arrondissement, a mainly residential neighbourhood on the city’s Left Bank. The hotel is set on an elegant street lined with stately buildings, but its ornate stone-built façade opens to quirky modern interiors, signalled by the bold foam-covered wall in the reception area.
Hotel Eden is a short stroll from Vaugirard Metro station, which links directly to Place de la Concorde, and is around a 30-minute walk from highlights including the Eiffel Tower, Musée Rodin, dedicated to the famous sculptor, and the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper, where a viewing platform offers panoramic city views.
The Hotel Eden’s design concept takes its cue from nature, from the jungle-style mural lining the fitness room to the tropical plant-design wallpaper in the chic dining room where guests can sit down to a buffet breakfast (fees may apply). There’s also a compact outdoor patio filled with lush greenery and furnished with colourful chairs, as well as an on-site hammam.
The 37 trendy guestrooms at Hotel Eden have a 1950s feel, along with unique themes such as sun, apple and flower. All are soundproofed and include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and mini bars, as well as air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. Some rooms have French balconies, while higher-category rooms offer sofabeds.
