Less than three years old, the Arlo NoMad is located in the trendy NoMad district, just two blocks from the Empire State Building.

Championing the micro-hotel concept, rooms are small but "with big personalities thanks to boho-chic decor and thoughtful amenities" (Condé Nast Traveler) like modular furniture, mini-fridges, an open-closet system with adjustable hanging pegs, rain showers, Blind Barber bath products, hand-held clothing steamers and automated window shades. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide rooms with plenty of natural light.

Guests are encouraged to check out the NoMad Bodega, a well-stocked 24-hour spot offering a great selection of eclectic local snacks, plus Joe coffee and a daily selection of pizzas and sandwiches. For something a little heartier, head to the on-site Lamalo restaurant, serving sharable Middle Eastern cuisine, including house-made Jerusalem Laffa bread and a variety of authentic dips.

Don't miss the cozy second-floor library that shifts from a co-working space during the day to an evening hangout space with cocktails and small bites provided by the second floor Barlo. The seasonal rooftop bar, The Heights, serves inventive cocktails, along with uptown and downtown views.

Hip hotel with large staff and beautiful rooftop. Breakfast was fantastic, so be sure to include it with your room. Room is small and efficient. Everything you need is there, but it takes some organization on your part to keep your stuff from crowding the space even further. Windows blocked out all street noise, but we could hear neighboring rooms showers. Location lacks nightlife options, Street was lined with garbage bags on most days of our stay and the building across the street may have been a homeless shelter. I did not have safety concerns.

The Arlo is a very modern-styled and comfortable hotel. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The rooms are small but well-laid-out. The roof-top bar is inviting and has spectacular views, especially at night. I also had a gorgeous city view outside my window at night and could see the whole empire state building. The breakfast (included) was very fresh and delicious.

Atmosfera alegre, descontraída e staff bem informal e simpático.

Tive somente um problema em relação à cobrança indevida do café da manhã. Tem que ficar de olho na fatura na hora do check out! Mas o problema foi resolvido imediatamente.

Clean rooms and thougtfully designed for space optimization. The negative: tiny rooms. Too small even for a solo business traveller hardly home. No amenities (no gym on site (there's one 5 blocks away), no tea/coffee machine, just bare minimum room). 2 small elevators for a tall building --> regular long waits. Roof top patio regularly sold out to private functions --> no space to join. A lot of focus on marketing and branding (using "micro-concept" to justify everything). Cheaply put together. Overpriced for what it offered. Cancelled halfway and switched to a different hotel.

The location was excellent. The staff was friendly. The room had a great view.

The only complaint I have is that I was charged $41 for breakfast even though it was included in the price and I was told about the included breakfast when I signed in. When I checked the bill (sent to my email address) I saw the charge: I called and it was immediately taken off. That was good. But you should be more careful with charges like that.

The rooms at this hotel are tiny but just perfect for the solo business traveler in town for a few nights. I can't imagine sharing the room, especially for vacation. As I said it's small, not made for hanging out, but is impressively functional. A great breakfast is included, and happy hour in the second floor bar includes complimentary wine and snacks. The rooftop bar is a gem, great drinks, atmosphere and views!
