This football-themed hotel is just steps away from Old Trafford stadium, the home of Manchester United, and is owned by a group of former United stars, including Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville. From football-inspired wall art and sporting memorabilia to a rooftop 5-a-side football pitch, the hotel is a celebration of the beautiful game.
If you're in Manchester to watch a match at Old Trafford, the hotel couldn't be better placed, and it also has good public transport links if you're heading into the city. The Old Trafford tram stop is a short walk from the hotel, or a taxi to the city centre will cost around £8-£10, each way. Popular attractions and shopping areas, such as the Manchester Arndale, which is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK, are around four miles from the hotel.
Back at the hotel, Cafe Football, the hotel's contemporary restaurant, continues the association with soccer and United's former players -- expect to find favourites such as burgers and pizzas joined on the menu by dishes such as Giggsy's sausages served with mash and onion gravy, and the Nicky Butty BLT panini. The hotel's bar, the Old Trafford Supporters Club, has pool tables and big screens.
Standard bedrooms have comfortable Hypnos beds, free Wi-Fi and retro snacks. Executive rooms have views of Old Trafford stadium.
