Dorint Hotel Charlottenhof Halle (Saale) has a central location, just 550 metres from Halle (Saale) railway station. The historic buildings of Market Square (Marktplatz) are around 15 minutes' walk from the hotel, and Händel-Haus, the building where the composer was born (now a museum), is 20 minutes' walk away. Leipziger Strasse, one of the city's main shopping streets, is even closer -- a few minutes' walk.
There are a number of bars and restaurants in the area, and the hotel's own Restaurant Charlott serves regional specialities and international favourites, made from locally sourced ingredients where possible. The menu is accompanied by a wine list that includes wine from the Saale-Unstrut region. There's also a lobby bar with Art Nouveau-inspired decor, plus Miller's Bar, which serves a menu of international dishes and has a big screen for major sporting events.
Leisure facilities include a fitness room, a sauna, a steam room and a Jacuzzi. A bistro menu of light bites and beverages including health drinks is available at the Vital-Club in the spa area, which also has a rooftop terrace with a whirlpool.
The 166 air-conditioned rooms are traditionally decorated with warm amber tones, blues and greys. Some higher-category rooms have balconies.
