For those looking to stay somewhere that’s convenient for Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, the Ramada Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is a good choice. There’s a free shuttle that runs almost 24 hours (4:40am to 1:10am), the breakfast buffet is plentiful and there’s an indoor pool.
Amsterdam city centre is 10 kilometres away and can be reached in 15 minutes by taxi or less than an hour by public transport. Alternatively, there are bikes available to hire (charges apply). Amsterdam is a cyclist-friendly city, and is reportedly home to more bicycles than people. The property is located in the quiet Badhoevedorp neighbourhood where there’s a supermarket, and Italian and French restaurants.
There is an on-site restaurant at the Ramada Hotel, serving three meals a day, including options for children. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the hotel and there are two computers for guests to use in the lobby -- boarding passes can be printed for free. Towels are provided for those wanting to use the indoor pool, sauna or Jacuzzi and there’s a small baby pool. For guests wanting to work out, there’s a gym next door that can be accessed for 10€.
A number of the rooms were renovated in 2017, so it’s worth requesting one of these at the time of booking. There are tea- and coffee-making facilities and a safe in the rooms. Upgrade to a junior suite or higher for more space and a balcony overlooking the surrounding area.
