Built by a decedent of a Revolutionary War hero in a town named for a U.S. President, the Inn of the Patriots is overflowing with history and partisan pride. Formerly executive chef at Camp David, chef Martin C.J. Mongiello now runs the AAA 4-Diamond bed and breakfast near Charlotte, Kings Mountain and Greenville.

Painted in cheerful sherbet shades, each room includes furniture and accent pieces curated from across the globe. Guest rooms are individually decorated with features like fireplaces, sapling trees growing in the rooms and memorabilia from the 1977 movie "Hooch" (a gun battle for the film was shot en suite). The property also includes outdoor accommodations modeled after a Revolutionary War encampment. All guests are welcome to join the six-course breakfast offered daily inside the mansion and a wine tasting.

The inn offers spa services on site and also includes a studio for yoga and Pilates. Guests can enroll in cooking classes taught by Mongiello or learn recipes favored by our nation’s leaders at the property’s Presidential Culinary Museum. The hotel has been featured on the "TODAY" show, CNN International and "Wheel of Fortune."
