DORMERO Hotel Berlin Ku'damm
Why We Love This Hotel
- The hotel has a top location close to Kurfürstendamm
- The hotel's stylish bar has an illuminated pond & bar staff dress as Catwoman or Marlon Brando
- The minimalist, cosy rooms each have a free mini bar
- This converted townhouse has a gorgeous leafy courtyard
Black never goes out of fashion and DORMERO Hotel Berlin Ku'damm is committed to this motto with leather sofas in the bar and the rooms as dark as the tables, chairs and cushions. The black furniture is accented with bright colours, giving the whole hotel a cool, modern look.
The particularly stylish SONDERBAR has a bar counter and walls made of illuminated bubbles swirling in water basins. Bartenders dress like Catwoman or Marlon Brando, and the hotel's motto is even followed by the mixologists, who wear black uniforms with red braces.
Perhaps you will meet the hotel cat Kiki in the lobby or at check-in. The QUADRIGA restaurant serves a fine-dining menu, and there's also a leafy courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine and listen to the birds chirping -- a rare treat in a hectic city like Berlin.
Bedrooms have large windows, for plenty of natural light, and the black-and-white colour scheme is augmented by pale-wood furniture. Room service is available 24 hours a day, and each room has a free mini bar and free Wi-Fi, as well as free Sky movies on the 1.4-metre-tall TV. Bathrooms have a rain shower or bathtub.
It is centrally located in the fashionable Charlottenburg area, near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Kurfürstendamm and Augsburger Strasse U-Bahn station is 500 metres away. From there, it is only 15 minutes to the Brandenburger Tor.
The hotel won Germany's Leading Boutique Hotel at the World Travel Awards in 2013 and 2014, and was nominated again in 2016.
