With views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, the 5-star Leonardo Royal Hotel London City -- formerly Grange City Hotel -- has some of the capital's top attractions on its doorstep.
The Tower of London, where you can discover 1000 years of "gruesome and compelling history" (Lonely Planet), is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You can also visit the iconic Tower Bridge and walk 140 feet above the River Thames on the high-level glass-floor walkway, or head over to London Bridge (around 20 minutes' walk) and feast your way round Borough Market, "the food hound's favourite market" (Time Out).
Once a Royal Navy light cruiser, HMS Belfast is now a museum ship operated by the Imperial War Museum. It is moored on the south bank of the River Thames, a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel's Forum restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, while Koto II specialises in Japanese food. The Lutetia Bar and Brasserie serves traditional French dishes, and its outdoor piazza, where you can dine al fresco in good weather, contains one of the largest remaining parts of London's old Roman wall.
Facilities at the hotel include a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room and a spa. There's also a virtual golf simulator that features 58 of the world's golf courses (supplements apply).
Executive Rooms feature a queen- or king-size bed, plus an additional seating area. Studios have a king-size bed with a separate lounge area. Some Studios have extra space for up to two sofa beds.
