Right on the beachfront on the south coast of the Peloponnese, Barceló Hydra Beach is a contemporary retreat with views of Hydra island.
The hotel is just four miles from the port of Ermioni for boat trips across to Hydra and a 30-minute drive to Galatas, from where sea taxis depart to the island of Poros. It's a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Athens and an hour's drive from Epidavros, an ancient healing centre where you can see the remains of a 15,000-seat amphitheatre.
There are four dining options including an international buffet restaurant and a beach barbecue. The Byblos Beach Club serves à la carte dishes from a candlelit terrace overlooking the sea. The spa features an indoor pool, a hot tub, a Turkish bath and a gym. Outdoor facilities include tennis courts and a beach volleyball court, and for kids there's a playground, a separate pool and an activity club.
The rooms and bungalows all feature a balcony or a terrace with sea or garden views. All have a flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas.
