The Beaux Arts-style Warwick hotel is in the heart of the theater district and just two blocks from Union Square. Opened in 1913, the historic property features a European bar and lounge as well as a restaurant with panoramic views of the kitchen serving Californian cuisine. Renovations restored the lavish chandelier in the lobby and other traditional features with the addition of contemporary design elements.
The property is smaller than some of the big box chain hotels in this neighborhood, so rooms are "cozy" and the amenities are limited. There's no gym or pool here but guest have access to a health club a few blocks away at a discounted rate. Also, the property charges a daily fee for in-room Wi-Fi.
Guest rooms echo the hotel’s Victorian roots with crisp navy and white décor, antique headboards and armoires. Luxurious amenities such as Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, built-in USB ports, Nintendos and plush bathrobes add a modern touch to the classic design.
San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center, Yerba Buena Gardens and Chinatown are within a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The Powell-Hyde cable car line is a few blocks away to explore the rest of town.
