Experience a little taste of Italy in Sonoma County at the 4-star Vintners Inn. The property is located on 92 acres of vineyards and makes for the perfect Wine Country getaway.

Fresh off a multi-million dollar renovation in 2018, the hotel now boasts a 5,000-square-foot spa, complete with an indoor soaking pool, as well as a heated outdoor pool and 34 new guest rooms.

The plush guest rooms are built for relaxation with comfy bathrobes and luxe toiletries from Italy. Second-floor rooms have vaulted ceilings and some rooms come with eco-friendly electric fireplaces. Guests are treated to a half bottle of wine upon arrival in their room as well as nightly turn down service with freshly baked cookies. Patios or balconies offer views of the courtyard, vineyards or garden.

For fitness enthusiasts, there is a scenic 2-mile jogging trail through the vineyards, or guests can opt for the state-of-the-art workout room. We suggest heading to the bocce ball court with a glass of wine for a friendly game.

Guests can dine at John Ash & Co. Restaurant, a well-known restaurant in the area with an extensive wine list. There is also River Vine Cafe, where guests can enjoy breakfast and brunch.

Vintner's Inn is a great central location for wine tasting in Russian River, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek appellations. The food and service at John Ash and Co. is always outstanding and they seem to have a lively bar scene there as well. A nice romantic getaway in the Sonoma wine country.

Always love our stay at Vintners Inn. However, this year Travelzoo promotion added a new wine tasting at Quivira Vineyards that included a charcuterie board. I made reservations for this "library tasting" weeks in advance as I knew they were still dealing with power outages due to fires, etc. We showed up at our reserved time (online) and presented our vouchers (there were 4 of us total (including my sister who has been a travel agent for over 37 years) and I even repeated what the vouchers for all of us included. The servers completely ignored any accompanying food, but we had a pretty good tasting of their wines. Overall, not impressed with that winery, but Vintner's Inn is always spot-on and a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway!! See you next year!!

Outdated and patched up rooms/amenities. Pay to use the sauna? Pay to use hot tub? Only saving grace is the happy hour.

Hidden fees. Charged additional 20% ($62) per night upon leaving. Just be up front with the cost; don't end your customer's experience with a bunch of secret fees/taxes no one tells you about.

Everything about the trip was great. The staff at the Inn was great! It is a beautiful property and very relaxing. This was an exceptional value using the Travelzoo package. We enjoyed the winery visits and the extra amenities. We experienced the spa and great food at John Ash restaurant and the River Café. Fantastic trip. I would highly recommend the Vinter's Inn to anyone
