The Imperial Plymouth
Why We Love This Hotel
- This stylish townhouse is in central Plymouth, close to lots of attractions
- A freshly cooked breakfast (with vegetarian and gluten-free options) is included with all overnight stays
- There is free parking on site and, when that's full, cheap parking on the street
It's friendly and comfortable, but it's the central location that really sells the 4-star family-owned Imperial Plymouth Hotel -- it sits half a mile from the waterfront and just two minutes' walk from Plymouth Hoe, an open, airy public space and promenade with great views of the city's harbour.
There's more -- you're five minutes' walk from the Theatre Royal and 10 minutes from The Barbican, an area to the north and west sides of the old harbour that's home to shops, restaurants and bars. Plymouth Gin Distillery is about 10 minutes' walk from the hotel and offers daily tours. The Drake Circus Shopping Centre is also just a short walk away.
The hotel's restaurant offers both English and continental breakfasts every morning, all of which are made to order and are included in the price of the room. Traditionalists will welcome kippers and smoked salmon -- others will appreciate the vegetarian options and gluten-free menu. There’s also a bar and lounge with comfy sofas and armchairs that you can relax in at the end of a long day exploring the city. Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
Rooms are available in a wide variety of sizes, from a Single Ensuite (with a single bed) to a Family Ensuite, which sleeps two adults and two children. King Ensuite rooms are a bit bigger than standard rooms and have king-size beds. All rooms have an en-suite bathrooms, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a TV.
