The upmarket Royal Savoy Sharm El Sheikh is more adult-friendly than its sister Sierra and Savoy Hotels, which share the same complex. Your stay begins with a private limousine transfer from the airport and a welcome drink and snack at check in, and continues with attendants proffering cold towels by the pool, plus free snacks and drinks until 8pm every day in the lounge.
SOHO Square is also in the complex, and has 10 restaurants, 13 bars, an ice rink, a nightclub, a 10-pin bowling alley and shops. There are three swimming pools at the hotel (one of which is shallow enough to rest loungers in), a private section for guests on White Knight Beach with sunbeds and parasols (and complimentary drinks from the bar) and free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests also get access to the Savoy Spa and Wellness Centre (treatments are extra), and there’s a gym, steam room, Jacuzzi and sauna too. Children under 12 are not permitted here and there is less in the way of included activities and organised entertainment.
Breakfast is served in the Royal morning room overlooking the pools, with a selection of continental fare, omelettes, eggs to order, smoked salmon, pastries and more. Lunch and dinner are not on offer here, but there are five restaurants at the Savoy Hotel -- including the Seafood Island Bar or Caligula Hot Rock where diners cook their own meat on volcanic rock. Plus, SOHO Square has plenty of choice.
There are 80 bedrooms and suites, some of which have 4-poster beds and Jacuzzis. All have a private balcony, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a mini bar. There is also a DVD library in reception if you want to borrow a film.
