"ON THE POSITIVE SIDE: It was centrally located, the hotel was clean, the bar on the first floor was fun and had many options and for the most part the staff was friendly. Our check-in front desk person wasn't very nice. All in all a good trip except for one issue. ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE: The Travel Zoo advertisement shows a roof top area with couches and chairs. The website shows that same so we chose the hotel because my wife and I wanted to sit on the roof. We went to a wine shop and purchased some wine and cheese to enjoy the city views but when we checked in we were told that the rooftop is only for private parties and we couldn't use it. Needless to say we were disappointed."

Overview

Centered between world-famous Michigan Avenue and the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Cambria Chicago (formerly the MileNorth Hotel) is set on a quiet, tree-lined street but still convenient for all travel styles touring the Windy Cindy.

Fashionistas can blow their vacation budget at the Magnificent Mile’s upscale shops around the corner, Navy Pier’s family-friendly rides and exhibits are within a 10-minute drive, and sports fanatics can reach Wrigley Field, home of the World Series-winning Cubs, in less than half an hour. Millennium Park is a 10-minute taxi ride from the hotel, perfect for Instagrammers wishing to visit “The Bean,” Chicago’s most photographed landmark.

All rooms have flat-screen televisions, desks and coffeemakers, and some include sleeper sofas, comfortably accommodating a family of four. Those in need of additional space can upgrade to multilevel suites. Wi-Fi is complimentary with all reservations.

On warm nights, guests can mingle at the hotel’s rooftop lounge with panoramic views of the city and plenty of cozy seating for stargazing. The property also features a coffee shop, a bar serving small plates and a 24-hour fitness center.
