Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui
Why We Love This Hotel
- Steps from Wailea and Ulua beaches, both a snorkeler’s paradise
- International spa chain Mandara has an outpost here
- Across the street from the upscale Shops at Wailea
- One of the four hotel restaurants features a traditional luau performance
The Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa is nestled on volcanic rock in between the calm tides of Wailea and Ulua beaches, which makes for some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii.
On site, choose from one of three outdoor pools, including an adults-only infinity pool and two pools with waterslides. Outdoor enthusiasts can try yoga on the beach, paddleboards or even a unique combination of the two called floating yoga. There’s also a 24-hour gym on site, or walk across the street to the upscale mall The Shops at Wailea.
The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, Mala Wailea, features "Top Chef" finalist Sheldon Simeon at the helm. For more casual dinner fare, dine oceanside at the Te Au Moana and enjoy the traditional luau show.
At the end of the day, retreat to the comfortable guestrooms, done mostly in rattans and local woods in a gentle blend of island and tropical chic.
