Honestly, except for the lobby, from what I could see this place was a dump. Our room was like an old dirty motel on the side of the interstate. I saw some pictures of some renovated rooms, but ours couldn't be farther from that, we definitely did not get one of those. Maybe it's because we booked with travel zoo, which I will think twice about doing again. No hooks in the bathroom for towels, filthy dirty doors, disgusting caulking and loose plumbing fixtures, no chairs on the balcony, the intake to the air unit look like had been kicked 10 times and was falling off with no attempt to repair. I truly haven't stayed somewhere this crappy since I was a kid in the 80s.

Not real good, elevator broken, no hot water for shower, toilet can’t flush twice, TV lack of channels from guide.

The reason we would return is because this is the most amazing staff we’ve ever experienced. Friendly, professional, every one of them. There was one man, Jay, totally went out of his way to way to please us.

We appreciated the super helpful staff! And we loved the coffee shop that opened at 6 AM so you could grab coffee and a snack and enjoy watching the beach wake up. Sunrises were fantastic!

Service in restaurant was only fair, advertising is a little deceiving. Photos show rows of chairs on the beach implying they are part of the resort, they are not . They are for rent from another company which had different hours

Beach view room with balcony enabled us to view the spectacular sunsets at night. The heated saltwater pool was great, especially since the ocean water was cold. The location of the hotel is the best part because almost all the shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. My wife and I really enjoyed the Tides Folly Beach and hope to return soon.

Great location that is walking distance to multiple restaurants. Staff was friendly and professional. Pool was heated, which was positive given that I went in mid-November. Rooms were OK, but beginning to show wear. Lobby flooring needs to be replaced.

Such a great hotel. We had a room overlooking the ocean, and the heated pool was a huge bonus in the cooler November month. The biggest takeway however was the staff. They were awesome. Professional, helpful, knew it was my sons birthday weekend, smiling, and always inviting.

The staff was the greatest ever, so helpful always with a smile, all so friendly, will keep us coming back.
The only negative I have is the restaurant needs to expand their menu, there’s hardly anything on the menu. They should offer AHI, grilled shrimps etc. But what they do serve is very good.

This hotel is in a great location; central to everything Folly. Staff was nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the food at Blu (onsite restaurant). The rooms were clean but really need updating (especially the bathroom). I missed that they didn't have a fitness center when I booked it which is unusual for the hotels where we always stay.

The rooms were terrible! The phone didn’t work, the curtains were broke (maintenance did fix on day 2), the shower had a hole in the wall (we were told they fixed it and they most definitely did not), the tv didn’t work, the noise was unbearable, the front door would close but you could see through it and feel the cold coming in.
