We return every year when the Regency offers their discounted room rate along with free valet parking and $40 credit for breakfast each morning!

We always ask for the corner window table at the breakfast venue and almost always our reservation for that table is honored.

This was actually our 4th time of staying at The Portland Regency. It is an amazing hotel with beautiful rooms and common areas, excellent food at their on-site restaurants and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. We will stay here many more times in the future!

The hotel is centrally located in a great part of town. We took advantage of the free breakfast and valet parking offer. The restaurants in the hotel are great. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. After arriving at the hotel, we learned a forest fire started and was threatening our house back home. The manager could not have been more understanding and accommodating. We left after one night but will be back again. (Our house lost power but was safe from fire.)

Outstanding customer service at The Portland Regency!! Very comfortable rooms. The restaurants and staff top notch! Liz at Iron Side Lounge is Fantastic! Shuttle took us to Merrill Auditorium in the evening. Food and drinks are fantastic!!

We joined 8 of our friends there this cold snowy weekend. We were grateful having to not leave our hotel for a gourmet breakfast. The bar/restaurant was excellent for drinks and lunch too. The staff was very nice and helpful especially the valets. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was excellent. Overall we had a wonderful two night stay.

Great location and very nice Hotel.

Great having free valet parking. However, the rooms they gave us were not in the best location in the hotel, basically in the basement.

One other thing was that there is limited free space in the hotel. Most hotels of that size have a nice space to sit in. They have one room off the lobby. It was tied up all afternoon with a tea event. I had a visitor stop by for a short visit and we had to sit in my hotel room.

The breakfast served in the hotel restaurant was extremely disappointing. Burnt omelettes, strange muffin tray(with no muffin), blueberry pancakes that came as one extremely large (full plate size) with two medium sized ones on top. The top two were undercooked. And the potatoes that accompanied the omelette were not tasty. My husband, who loves potatoes with breakfast) didn’t eat them.

Great little getaway for husbands birthday. Loved being so close to old port, all the great shopping and restaurants. The hotel was lovely - room was clean and comfortable. Loved the added touch of the robes in the closet. The staff were extremely accommodating, allowing us to drop off bags and car early and giving recommendations for lunch. Would definitely return.

We went to Portland for our 30th anniversary. Almost everything about our experience was outstanding, but we were not thrilled with the bed.

Everyone who works at this hotel has the best customer service. Friendly, helpful etc. Room was clean and very nice. Food was excellent. Will definitely be going back!

The staff was exceptional and the two restaurants I tried were very good - I have recommended them to my Maine friends/family as dining options in Portland. It was a delight to stay there!

The staff of the Regency Hotel was so kind and accommodating, from the valet la to front desk to the spa staff. The location of Regency Hotel is also awesome and the spa was great!

The hotel and the staff are wonderful!…and the location is great, right in the middle of Old Port.

Had a great time. The hotel was cozy and the staff was great. We opted to have dinner downstairs in the restaurant and the food was delicious. We also had breakfast in the breakfast restaurant, which was also very good. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Girls weekend get away. Perfect location.

We really enjoyed our time at the Portland Regency Hotel. The service was exceptional, the room was quiet and comfortable and the spa was beautiful and private. Special shout out to Eden and AJ in the restaurant for being so friendly and helpful! The location was also perfect; we hardly used our car while we were there! The valet was also excellent when we did need it. Top marks all around! I hardly ever write reviews, so it says a lot that our experience was good enough to get me to do one now. HIGHLY recommended.

I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. I especially enjoy the staff and service, attentive and helpful. I love to visit the Amory Lounge for food and drinks. Breakfast/Brunch was very nice, good choices and I especially enjoy the wait staff whom I know from 20 years ago.

I had a massage in the hotel spa and was pleased with the atmosphere and the massage.

AJ in the restaurant was great - so professional! All of the staff was kind, friendly and helpful. The Spa is very accommodating of guests and well run.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Portland Regency Hotel. The staff is consistently pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very clean and has a terrific location in the middle of Portland.

The location couldn't be better, nestled in Old Town, Portland, Maine, and the reception area, restaurant and lounge are tastefully decorated and spotless. The room, however, looked much better in the photos than in person. It was satisfactory, but needed painting, especially the ceiling, and places could have been cleaner.

I’ve been traveling for over 40 years - mostly on business, where I lived in hotels months at a time - and I wish the Portland Regency had been one of them. As I told one of the incredible staff, “I know I just got here, but I can’t wait to come back.”

This is special. After more than ten years, we'd forgotten how nice this hotel is. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful at every turn. The room was terrific (super clean & well-appointed). The bathroom was huge, and the shower (which functioned perfectly) was more than spacious. The Eighteen95 restaurant had an amazing brunch. The Classic Eggs Benedict was superb, but the Lobster Eggs Benedict looked even better. The hotel location in the Old Port is ideal with many shops, bars and restaurants within a very short walking distance. The valet service was incredibly easy, fast and efficient. We'll be choosing this hotel and Portland over Boston for our next getaway for sure. We had such a great time!

Really good all the way around. The TZoo package was a plus, as it included parking and breakfast. I might be reluctant to return paying full price for everything, but I'd do the pkg again in a heartbeat.

The building has the charm of being older without showing its age. Very well maintained and cleaned.

Great spot. Love the armory lounge Liz was fab at the whiskey bar. 5 stars for her!
