The property itself is lovely, for the most parts the restaurants are good, but we weren't impressed with the Asian restaurant. Pitahayas was an awesome dining experience, and a must try if you want traditional Mexican cuisine. The service at all restaurants seemed to be quite slow, don't know why exactly. Unfortunately, the beach was closed during our stay due to the high waves, that was a bit of a bummer. Although we enjoyed our stay, we probably wouldn't go back again since the location is pretty isolated, and also the resort doesn't offer any activities such as kayaking or other water sports, that being said, it is the perfect place to spend a few days of total relaxation, spending days relaxing at the pool and enjoying good food.

I think the restaurants need to adjust the portion sizes, some of the appetizers seemed like they were the size of main courses. Also, since you just started as an all-inclusive, I understand the need to have guests sign a receipt at the end of each meal (to gather data) but I hope this is eventually dropped, when I'm at an all-inclusive I don't want to have to be signing a check after every meal. Also, I thought the service fee to eat at De Cortez Grill House was excessive, $10 per person for breakfast and $35 per person for dinner, this is an all-inclusive, we shouldn't have to pay extra to eat at a particular restaurant, maybe just charge an extra fee for ordering premium steaks or lobster, not for the "privilege" of eating at the restaurant.

It was great and the staff was amazing catered to your every need

This Hotel had just turned into an all inclusive and it was tremendous. It's the first all inclusive I have ever been too where I can honestly say the food was very good and excellent in some cases. The bar tenders were artists they took their time and really crafted cocktails.

Beautiful architecture and landscaping. Nice rooms and pools. Heated jacuzzis. Great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Need more vegetarian options at lunch buffet and a la carte dinners.

Overall really nice property, staff and breakfast. Vegetarian options at dinners are limited and needs to be expanded.

Pros: Exceptional service. Great outdoor ambiance. Not crowded. Cons: A bit far from airport. Room had a moldy smell.

Facilities and food were outstanding

The reason the room was rated low was for the following: our air conditioning was not working and the room was at 78F most of the time during hot July. The refrigerator was not turned on therefore the drinks were warm. There were tiny ants in the bathroom which we took care of ourselves. Everything else about the resort was absolutely wonderful! We met some excellent wait staff and everyone was so helpful. We plan to return!

2nd time staying here. The first time was great, and now they really upgraded the rooms. There is 1 downside is that there is now $35 cover charge for dinner Cortez restaurant and $10 for breakfast. This is a great spot for steaks, but I didn't visit this time due to the extra expense. To off set This they have added a sushi bar, a no charge coffee shop, and a 1 time no charge for room service. Due to recent remodel of the rooms, I noticed a offensive smell. I checked 2 other rooms with a similar smell. Housekeeping washed the floor with bleach, and that really helped. We choose to visit when a huge confidence was checking in. While initially it was a little overwhelming, but staff handled it well That's not a negative about the property; it could happen at any resort.

We were so happy you offered this package again. We went last year and loved it so much that we came back! We hope you will offer it again! The resort is beautiful, the staff outstanding, the food incredible! This is now one of my favorite travel locations!

When Travelzoo negotiated an all-inclusive excursion to Hacienda del Mar Autograph Collection resort in Cabo, I jumped on the deal. Going to all-inclusive resorts is not something we do, but this place is amazing. We booked an oceanfront room with a patio. My husband and I experienced five of the eleven restaurants on the property, and all were outstanding. Jessica, the concierge, knew we were here to celebrate a birthday and graciously sent a gorgeous chocolate cake and a bottle of sparkling wine to our room with a sweet note. The staff at this resort are very well trained in hospitality, very friendly and accommodating. Without the all-inclusive plan, food and drinks would be outrageously expensive. The grounds are gorgeous and clean. We saw numerous whales within 30 feet of the beach. There are numerous activities, but relaxing and swimming in the pools may be the best vacation action. If Travelzoo offers this special deal again, we’ll return next year.

Gorgeous setting, friendly staff, spacious rooms, excellent food and beverage with a lot of variety. The all-inclusive package made it a great value (a la carte prices were quite inflated).

This resort is amazing in so many ways! The staff, views, grounds, rooms, food, etc. It is the best vacation! Hope to return soon. We took friends, and now they want to take friends.

Lovely and relaxing with great meals!

We had a very enjoyable stay after some wrinkles the 1st day and evening. Room was spacious with nice amenities and gorgeous beach view. Restaurants were plentiful with excellent ambiance, menus and great food! Stsff was extremely kind and helpful. Hotel and spa were very attractive and enjoyable. Small problems at arrival and check in. Some confusion due to too many people and different instructions. The worst part of check in is when reception turns you over to a time share salesperson! Although the room ended up being geat, we had difficulty vetting the a/c going, the ceiling fan going, the patio door open and the lanline telephone operating. The maid service was spotty at best. When I mentioned all these problems to some staff they agreed it was poor overall management. Later the evening manager sought me out to respond to my complaints. He did listen but belittled or ignored several items. He did however correctly defend a restaurants maitre di who I harshly complained to when our dinner reservations were not quickly acknowled.

Would like to see activities through out the day. NO activities makes it a little boring. Other hotels we have stayed at provided unlimited activities and EVERYONE enjoyed them.........

Amazing property and service

I had a relaxing good time. The staff was very nice and attentive also accommodating. I would go to this place again The only thing I didn't like us I came on this Birtday trip that I planned. They took every opportunity to drag me into a presentation for timeshare. I didn't like that. But everything else was fabulous.

The experience at Hancienda Del Mar was great. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going back next year.

If you have kids, I would suggest hanging out at the kids pool with them and not the lower pools.

Need better maintenance.

The resort was in a beautiful location and the booking process was very easy. The room had an excellent view, but was smaller than I hoped for. Though the room was all-inclusive, we needed to open and close a tab at every bar and restaurant each time we ate or had a drink, which is different (and mildly more inconvenient) than other all-inclusive resorts we stayed at. The timeshare folks were pushier than we expected, but they were easy to brush off.

I’ve been coming to Hacienda Del Mar for about 10 years. My sister has a time share and we always book a place for the same time. This is the first time we did all inclusive and it really is a great value! I plan on going again when Travelzoo has the offer again!

The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. The resort is very relaxing!

The location is amazing for watching whales all day long from the pool decks and beach. (We were there in February.) The all inclusive package was well worth it. Every restaurant was fantastic. The staff was great and helpful. My only complaint would be the quality of the room. The AC fan kept blowing so the thermostat was taken off the wall and never fixed. They were repairing an elevator and during the day taking a nap was impossible with the noise. There is no buffer of noise between rooms and because of the way it is built echoes terribly. No access to a water filter and ice in our building.

This vacation was stellar in every way! The spacious & clean room and our private covered deck, the beautiful views, the sound of the crashing waves, and then there are the lovely restaurants with amazing foods and service. The lovely grounds are colorful and spotless. And then there is the outstanding staff who made us feel like we were the only guests on the property, truly VIP treatment. Every single employee is a caring person with great pride in their country. It was our pleasure to spend 8 days there, and we are going back soon!

Suggestion for future guests, leave your sliding doors open and let the crashing waves lull you to sleep!

Beautiful resort! The grounds and buildings are lovely and well maintained! There were many restaurants to choose from and the food was delicious and high quality. Never had a problem getting seated right away, even when we did not have a reservation. We had an amazing ocean view and got to see whales swim by every day. Multiple pools and beachfront to enjoy, even though you could not swim in the ocean. Hospitality team was 5-star day and night!

Second year back, everything was wonderful. The room was perfect. It was updated and ocean front. The staff is wonderful. I even left my bag there and they’re holding it until my friend comes in a few weeks. A few negatives this year, the timeshare ladies were a bit too much at check-in. They found us at the pool and called our room so when you say no, please understand it’s no. Non drinker here, I pay the inclusive. I don’t complain, I asker for extra decaf pods and I don’t even use housekeeping, I don’t want to bother them, room is spotless when I leave I got attitude, when someone doesn’t drink alcohol and they ask for coffee, get it for them. Food was fine. We love the buffet in the morning. It’s actually delicious and it should be open a lot longer. The other restaurants they try to Americanized the food and it’s a little different but just enjoy the ride. It’s a beautiful property and like anything you’re gonna have some bumps on the road, but when you’re looking at the ocean smile and be blessed that you can.

We paid for an oceanfront room and we or upgraded to a suite that was not oceanfront however it was a nice room

This was our first experience at Hacienda del Mar and we enjoyed every aspect. The Atmosphere and amenities are great, but to top it all off the service was impeccable. We visit Cabo on an annual basis and the service Hacienda del Mar has surpassed all other resorts by far. I highly recommend this resort.
