Very relaxing with lots of options for exercise since there is no a formal exercise room. But who needs it with kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, swimming and bird walks?

The only thing I miss is my daily live news with 1st cup of coffee. Maybe removal is a good thing? Dave and all the staff are so genuinely friendly.

The manager was very unprofessional, the staff wasn’t very friendly, the ride from the airport to the resort was very dangerous, the room wasn’t clean, and there was an animal living in the ceiling that woke us up every night climbing around above the bedroom.

We had a wonderful experience at Orchid Bay Resort. It was extremely relaxing. The bay protects the area from crashing ocean waves, so the water was very calm, smooth, and QUIET. We only saw one other boat that wasn’t owned by the resort, so no loud boat traffic. The food was delicious, very fresh and made to order-drinks too! The casitas were comfortable and spacious. I loved the screen porch! Ours had a perfect waterfront view and was steps to the beach, dock, pool, and restaurant. The staff was friendly and responsive to room issues. The batteries in the room safe died in the middle of the night and started beeping. When we notified staff the next morning of the issue, they sent someone to help right away. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Orchid Bay was fine. We paid almost $400 for the shuttle from the airport. That was very bad and unexpected.

This was just the relaxing getaway I needed. I was interested in a restful, stressful time, and that's exactly what I got. Anyone looking for a entertainment, lots of activities would not like this. On the other hand, the staff were over the top friendly and accommodating. The star of the entire week was the food. OMG, everything I ate was DELICIOUS! Meals were prepared to order and served hot. The assortment to choose from was also very good.

The casitas are adorable. They are very roomy and comfortable. The furnishings are a bit dated, but still functional.

You will not find nicer people than the ones working at this resort. Exceptional staff. Food was good. Rooms needed more lights ( and light bulbs). The resort is pretty isolated so plan ahead. No night life, which was fine with half of our party. It felt out of the way, which was great. It won’t stay that way for long

Idyllic location of beauty and peace. The staff was very welcoming and personable. The views are amazing. It’s a bit of a trek to get to but worth it. If you don’t drink much, consider the non inclusive at least for a day or two. The menu is much more varied.

This was our first time in Belize and the staff at Orchid Bay made the experience a truly joyful and memorable one. From email correspondence before we arrived to our kind send-off, every step was perfection. It was so nice to go slow and relax in such a beautiful and friendly place. We'll be back for sure.

My only suggestion would be to include driving tips for guests driving a rental car from Belize City. The new bridges and highway do not come up in google maps so instructions about the best route would have been appreciated upon booking directly with Orchid Bay.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary over a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed. The boat tour to the Mayan ruin (Cerros) and the sunset cruise was great. While I'm not a fan of all inclusive, the all inclusive food and drinks (not top shelf alcohol though) made meal times easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend Orchid Bay Resort for a quiet getaway. The only recommendation I would make is to include transporation to/from the airport in the price.

This is definitely not a fishing resort, no fish in the bay at all. Booked a fishing charter and it ended up being an all day snorkel trip instead. Also, the restaurant never had fish, except for 1 night. They claim they order fish twice a week from the fisherman (on their website). The super shuttle they show in the picture is not what picks you up or takes you to the airport, it is someone with their own small SUV transports you.

This was our first trip to Belize and our Orchid Bay experience was great. It was casual and easy-going. The staff was great! They were very attentive and went out of their way to make our experience a memorable, relaxing adventure. The accommodations were outstanding and the grounds were beautiful.

Everyone at the resort was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. David made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a lot of excellent history of the area. We were treated like family by all the staff and other visitors/residents of the resort from our arrival to our departure. The sunset cruise and Mayan ruin tour was incredible, and we also did another boat excursion to a cove for an afternoon that was a lot of fun. It felt very safe everywhere on property, and everywhere we went in the country, to be honest.

The resort itself is very nicely landscaped and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room is underwhelming but not bad by any means. If you want to get get away from everything and just chill at the small private beach it’s a good option.

It’s so far out that the cost of transportation to get there is almost as much as a two night stay and there isn’t much to do without extra cost except sit at the beach.

Hotel is ranked with 4 stars when the level of equipment is not at all. Pool is poor and very small, Path to go from condo to lobby is dirt, without any light at night it is very difficult, attention to details in rooms is not at level.

The Casita is big, comfortable. The staff are all very friendly, as well as the owner David. Meals and drinks were very good. Very pretty area. It is a very secluded area. We still have tours to go on to the ruins, snorkeling, fishing.

My husband and I had a fabulous time at Orchid Bay. This resort is very low key, not commercial at all. Staff was great, like family. The bay is beautiful and a great place for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. It is a perfect place to relax.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuine. The casita was homey and comfortable. The grounds are covered with beautiful, tropical , flowering plants and trees. This is not a glitzy, opulent, all-inclusive resort like you find in Cancun; it’s a family run, relaxed place. The food was delicious, but the restaurant is a water-front hut with plastic chairs so nothing elegant about the experience.
