There is not a spa so that should be taken out of the name. We paid for three rooms. Same price. All advertised the same but two were bigger with nicer decks. I think transparency was my biggest issue.

We enjoyed our 5 nt stay at the Outrigger. I’ll start with the few cons… Adult pool doesn’t have enough shade, too exposed We preferred the bigger pool so we could still see the ocean and had lots of umbrellas. We tried 3 different drinks at the pool, you couldn’t taste the alcohol in any of them. Just buy a small bottle of rum at the store and top them off yourself. Pros: The staff are fantastic!! The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is great, super close to the manta ray snorkel tour. You just have to walk down the street for 5 minutes, it was the most incredible experience we had in Hawaii. Also, Volcanoes NP is 90 min away and well worth a visit. Voyager 47 was well worth it for 2 women, this was our breakfast and dinner. Coffee, juice, scrambled eggs (powdered) meat, potatoes, pastries, fruit Dinner was salad, rice, miso soup, meat, dessert and drinks. Overall, this is a great spot. We went up to Kailua-Kona one day and it was so crowded with tons of people from the cruise ship that we were happy to come back to our calmer area. Snorkelling at 2-step beach was a highlight and only 20 min south of the hotel. After our stay, we went up to Waikoloa for a couple nights and really enjoyed the beaches. I recommend doing both areas so you get a little bit of each.

Not crowded at all this trip. Club 47 is definitely worth it.

The resort is huge! It is in a nice location and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We arrived late and had to eat in the restaurant and it was pricey. There are activities to do and the 2 pools and slide are really nice. There was a power outage one night and the staff could have communicated more with the guests-maybe offered something extra as compensation. We had use of the Voyager Lounge and it was really nice for breakfast and pu pus.

It was a wonderful place. Loved it. When I arrived they did not have my booking . Showed me as a no show on the date I made the reservation. Said this was a travel zoo issue. So not happy with TZ

Really a wonderful place and a great location

They didn't know how to process the Travelzoo discounts. Our room wasn't ready over an hour past check-in time (check in was 3, we arrived after 4 and didn't have a room until nearly 5). They tried to put us in a "ocean view" room with the balcony literally touching the waterslide and close enough for children to be on our balcony. After complaining, we were moved to an ocean view room directly over the kiddie pool. The uncomfortable high top table seating and screaming from dawn until 10 p.m. made the balcony worthless. Rooms were dusty and dirty and smelled of mold (we had to bleach wipe everything when we checked in because there were visible, greasy hand prints on every handle). The food was terrible and overpriced (one morning the breakfast was the wettest egg without being technically raw and some white rice). And when we came down with Covid they locked us in our room for the majority of our trip and provided zero guidance and little support, other than to make us deal solely with security and make us feel like lepers. And it was complete theater because while we weren't outwardly sick and mask, we constantly witnessed sick people coughing, but because they didn't disclose or even test they got to walk about freely. It was a terrible trip.

Nice stay with great TravelZoo voucher. The club 47 deal with breakfast and pupu/drinks in the late afternoon was very good. Great place to watch a sunset too. Rooms were spacious and balcony view good. Disappointed no readily accessible beach to swim in the ocean. Drink prices high; bar menu food prices very high. Service staff very kind and friendly. Needs a little updating and will be better I think when Duke's restaurant opens. Good access to the marina for water adventures like snorkeling trips. That was a plus.

Nice, comfortable hotel, with great staff. Location is a little isolated, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The voyager 47 club rooms are definitely the way to go at this hotel as the breakfast and early evening reception are a great value and often covered our breakfast and dinner for the day.
