Every visit to Royal Sonesta is great. Wonderful bellman at the front door, William and concierge, Nestor are always there to help with a friendly smile.

We took our granddaughters to Puerto Rico for our annual trip with them. We enjoy Royal Sonesta very much.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Royal Sonesta. The pools, direct beach access and equipment, the staff service, and the restaurants create a relaxing, luxurious environment. Trips into the city where easy to navigate with Uber. We highly recommend!

Staff was exceptional and doing their best but seemed understaffed and inefficient

Understaffed throughout the resort so service was exceptionally slow.. When rooms were cleaned, they missed some important details like filling shower supplies and providing toilet paper.

Iconic hotel on Isla Verde. Friendly attentive staff. Good availability of restaurants and bars. Great proximity to airport and base for exploring the island.

Enjoyed the trip. Weather was a complete wash out first two days, but then got better.

The Royal Sonesta was perfect in every way. The price I got through Travelzoo made it a great deal too.

Such a lovely resort and location! It was our first time visiting Puerto Rico and we’ll definitely be back. The staff at the hotel were amazing and the ambiance is wonderful!

Overall a nice resort, the only issue we had was trouble with accessing our rooms. After checking in and getting to the door we could not get into the room. The Porter came to assist and realized the battery in the scanner was not working. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one showed up. We were then moved to another room. By the second day this happened again with the new room and we had to wait for them to come change the batteries. This seems like the resort is not routinely checking the doors and it takes away from the vacation by having to spend it talking to staff and waiting in hallways instead of the comfort of your room. While the resort is nice this experience was not up to par and it would not be my first choice to return.

Very relaxing stay with friends/family. Close to the hotel without the constant noise of planes. Valet service was quick and easy. Rooms were nice. Large pool area with swim up bar that was not overly crowded. Lots of onsite food options and in close proximity. Quick access to the beach with lots of activities to choose from. This resort is great for family and adults.

I had a great experience. The staff and service was fantastic and I enjoy the pool and beach. The dining offered on the premises was great as well.

I like the fact that The Royal Sonesta was near a lot of main attractions and right on the beach. There are outside dining places in walking distance as well.

Roaches in the room.

Over priced, on two separate occasions we found roaches in our room. Will not go back.

It was wonderful. I’ve been there in the past and their service is stellar. You can just enjoy time by the pool with the family or as a couple then move to beach if you want. Their breakfast buffet and lunch choices are great. Their evening restaurant choices are ok if you want to stay on property but most folks go outside the hotel for dinner. They had lots of options for tours and their cabana prices are reasonable for the day if you just want to lounge.

If you get a chance give this place a look. 7 minutes from the airport and near a few casinos if you like to gamble.

I did like the pool area which was the only thing I liked about it

The room advertised wasn’t the room I got, I paid a lot of money and the room didn’t even have a microwave the room was old and run down
